The CR26 carburetor kit for the Honda CB550's is a Power-Barn exclusive and the most complete kit available anywhere.  Designed in conjunction with Godffrey's Garage, the kit includes everything needed for a complete installation.  They have been developed with many hours of testing to produce the best combination of performance, drivability, and affordability.  Every kit includes the Keihin CR26 carburetors properly spaced for the CB550's, custom machined spigot adapters to provide the best fit, custom intake manifolds with vacuum adapters to allow for easy tuning, K&N pod style filters, velocity stacks to smooth airflow during track days or racing, and extra jetting for fine tuning or future modifications.  Options include throttle cables and rubber carburetor holders.

These CR26 kits for the Honda CB550's come ready to install immediately.  They will work with your OEM throttle cables, or you can have some included with your setup.  The custom designed and CNC machined tapered intake spigot adapters allow perfect fitment into the OEM Honda rubber holders while moving the carburetors forward to allow fitment of the pod style air filters.  The intake manifolds are modified with vacuum spigots that make tuning and synchronization a breeze.  If your application is for a 1974-1976 CB550 then you will need to replace your intake manifolds.  If your application is for the 1977-1978’s then you can retain the original manifolds or send them in for a core discount, please inquire for details.  The included K&N pod filters will provide maximum airflow while retaining a classic look.

The carburetor kit will also work with your OEM Honda cables and OEM Honda rubber carburetor holders.  Since the rubber holders will dry out and crack over time it is always recommended to install this kit with a fresh set of new holders.  A new set of cables will also ensure the throttle action is smooth and trouble free.  The complete push/pull Motion Pro throttle cable and/or throttle pipe set can be purchased along with a set of four rubber carburetor holders.  Don't forget to select your options now!

The carburetors are pre-jetted, pre-synchronized and will come ready to install.  The tuning specs have been developed after countless hours of research and testing and will suit a wide variety of conditions; however some fine tuning may be required to obtain the desired combination of performance, fuel mileage, and drivability for your particular application.  Extra main and pilot jets are included for fine tuning or future modifications and additional genuine Keihin parts and accessories are always available at low prices.  Alternatively kits can be built utilizing your own jetting specifications, please ask us how.

Please Note:  These are racing carburetors and as such were originally designed for high performance racing use.  This is where they will produce the best results, in high performance high revving applications.  After careful testing and development the kits are calibrated with the absolute best combination of performance and drivability that can be obtained for street use.  We are continuously working on enhancements and improvements to the Keihin CR's for the ultimate in streetable performance.
