This chain and sprocket kit gives you everything you need to replace those worn out chains and sprockets on any 1974-1985 Kawasaki KZ400 and KZ440 motorcycle.  The kit consists of high quality RK OEM style chain and sprockets made in Japan.  The chain is non o-ring and the sprockets are made from high quality heat treated steel.  Includes a clip style or a rivet style master link, select your option before adding to your cart.


The chain is an RK non o-ring high quality OEM style standard chain with a tensile strength of 7700 lbs.   The sprockets are hardened steel machined for an exact fit and long lasting durability.  The rear sprocket is 45 teeth and the front sprocket is 15 teeth, dimensions are listed below.  Rivet style master links require special tools for installation.  See our Motion Pro chain tools.


This is the standard OEM gearing ratio and chain length for these models.  If a different final drive ratio is desired please see the gear ratio chart below and contact us if you need more information.  Please see below for a list of models covered and the required chain lengths and sprockets.  Be sure to select the correct chain length above before adding to your cart.  Ratios and sizes are correct to the best of our knowledge, it is always best to verify your current sizing before purchasing chains and sprockets from any source.
