ISR Brakes from Sweden are very high quality and rugged systems designed for top racers who demand the best performance and durability from their brake systems. Race proven, all ISR brake systems are CNC machined from aerospace quality billet aluminum and then finished with a clear anodized coating for the ultimate in corrosion protection. The 6 piston CNC machined monobloc calipers from ISR have the highest strength to weight ratio of any aftermarket caliper today. These kits fit all sportbike, supermoto, and custom applications utilizing 40mm or 65mm spacing, sold each (RH or LH) or in sets (RH+LH).
The 22-042 series of monobloc calipers are an updated and enhanced version of the orginal 6 piston monobloc calipers. They are intended for high performance applications and are perfect for older sportbike or custom applications. The 6 piston axial mount monoblocs from ISR will seriously enhance your braking performance, they are stiffer and run cooler than their original counterparts. The larger effective radius of the friction area allows a more even distribution of the braking heat and minimizes rotor warpage. The lightweight design lowers unsprung weight while still maintaining high rigidity delivering and exceptional feel with unmatched braking performance. The six individual pads allow more edges to bite into the disc resulting in an extremely high friction characteristics. Each pad has it's own machined pocket that allows for pad retention in the event of pad pin failure, a feature designed as a direct result of Swedish Superbike racing involvement.
The caliper pistons are machined from an aluminum alloy for light weight and are then plated with a very hard Tufram coating designed to minimize wear from long piston life under the most demanding conditions. The 22-042 monobloc series have the following specifications for motorcycles with 40mm or 65mm bolt centers and 300mm-320mm rotors:
