This kit is custom designed for the 2006-2010 Kawasaki KFX450 ATV's and closely matches the KFX engine's flow characteristics. The unique tapered intake tract design funnels air into the cylinder head at higher velocities than the OEM intakes. The increase in air velocity means more torque at lower RPM's and more horsepower at the higher RPM's. The Fuel Customs intake lengths are specially designed to enhance the KFX's engine pulse frequencies and use this principle to force more air into the combustion chamber.
The KFX kit is available with an optional high flow air-box. This kit will not work with the OEM air-box and so a high flow version has been developed by Fuel Customs to replace the stock restrictive box. Run this kit open for maximum horsepower or use the optional air-box for dirty or muddy conditions.
