The Mikuni RS series smoothbore carburetors were originally designed to meet the demands of the world's top racing teams in both drag racing where maximum horsepower is needed and roadracing where usable power is most important.  The RS series carburetors accomplish this by delivering precise metering and high flow volume.  Smooth throttle response is obtained and bogging is eliminated by the use of an adjustable high volume accelerator pump.  Mikuni carburetors are completely rebuildable with a wide variety of parts available and will last for the life or your bike!  Features of the RS series carburetors from Mikuni are:

Mikuni RS carburetors are available in 34mm, 36mm, 38mm, 40mm sizes and come pre-jetted to suit a wide variety of tuning situationsand applications.  Various spacings are also available for various applications, please see the charts below for jetting and spacing specifications.  Left side and center bell crank's are available depending upon your model's requirements.  A push/pull throttle cable system must be used with these carburetors because of the high vacuum generated, we offer a high quality Motion Pro smoothglide cable set with throttle assembly, select your option above.

Please note:  The Kawasaki KZ1000J models require the use of Mikuni intake manifolds, PB-005866.  These carburetors must be used with a push/pull throttle cable system, like the PB-005230 kit.  This will prevent throttle lock due to high vacuum or other conditions.  They are optional to purchase with the carburetors, however must be used during operation.

Tuning and performance specs have been developed over the years to suit a wide variety of conditions, however some fine tuning may be required to attain the desired combination of performance, fuel mileage, and drivability.  Keihin and Mikuni carburetor kits are available for just about any application, from custom to OEM.  Contact us for applications and availability.  Genuine Mikuni jetting and components are available for fine tuning and accessories are available to make your carburetors easier to use.  Intake manifolds are available for mounting options and optional velocity stacks will smooth air flow.
