Mikuni VM smoothbore carburetors are the most popular high performance round slide carburetors in the world.  Mikuni's VM series is the proven standard in single cylinder, ATV, motocross, and vintage motorcycles.  The VM series provides a wide range of bore sizes to better match particular engine flow characteristics along with a large selection of tuning components and accessories for tuning to a wide variety of conditions.

This Mikuni VM32 kit is an easy bolt-on replacement solution for all 1968-1974 Honda CB450's, the CL450's, and 1974-1976 CB500T's. The kit replaces the OEM airbox/filter setup and utilizes the OEM throttle assembly.  The kit is better suited for custom projects because it has larger K&N pod filters and interferes slightly with the battery box in it's original location.  The side covers will fit but need to be slightly modified around the filter cut-out to fit the larger pod filters.  If your intention is for a stock look, then check out our newly developed CB450/CL450 VM32 kit for use with the original OEM configuration of the bike.

Mikuni VM32 and VM34 carburetors are both available, the VM32 will be better suited for low end torque and low RPM operation while the VM34's will flow better at higher RPM's thereby producing more horsepower.  All of the following is included for a simple installation:

This Mikuni VM carburetor kit delivers exceptional throttle response and unmatched power control.  The kit comes pre-jetted for immediate installation and tuning and performance specs have been developed over the years to suit a wide variety of conditions, however some fine tuning may be required to attain the desired combination of performance, fuel mileage, and drivability.  Extra main jets are included for fine tuning and additional genuine Mikuni parts and accessories are always available at low prices.  Alternatively these kits can be built to your own jetting specifications. Please ask us how.  In addition, the right side carburetor comes with a pull style choke to minimize interference with the fuel valve.  Both carburetors can also be configured to accept a 2 into 1 style cable choke that can be mounted on the handlebars, please inquire for details.

Kits come with universal style cables which will require some cutting, crimping, and/or soldering.  Instructions are included to make this as easy as possible.  We can assemble your cable in advance for an additional fee, please inquire.  In addition there is now a custom Motion Pro throttle cable made exclusively for our kits.  These high quality Motion Pro cables are available in either black or grey housings.  You can select your cable option above before adding to your cart.  Replacement cables are also available.

It has come to our attention that some "other" retailers are selling these kits incomplete. They don't include all the necessary items for a successful installation and that forces you to buy more items, possibly at a higher cost.
